The upgrade of Paramount and Dempster you mention refers to the plans for duplication not widening. And the route is supposed to take trucks away from Sunshine not towards it. The duplication of Paramount Rd should allow trucks to use the Westgate Freeway and then the new on/off ramps instead of going down Sunshine Rd and through Footscray. Apologies for any confusion. If MTAG stands by its submission, then all of Stage 2 should have been opposed because the report is clear - Dempster St will be "upgraded" and given its not that wide this means evictions/compulsorary acquisitions.
