Moore St Sleep In – What a great turn out

MTAG’s Moore St Sleep In Truck Protest was a great success this morning.
Big thanks go out to Rod Quantock for his fabulous humour and generous time this morning. (Rod is performing at the Comedy Festival right now)
Also thank you to the Snuff Puppets, Mayor of Maribyrnong Grant Miles, Scott Adams of Less Trucks For Moore, Vic Police, Colleen Hartland of the Greens, Bruce for the sound system, Cate for our poster designs and all the vollies who helped us today and in the lead up.The crowd was estimated at about 150, that’s a great turn out for an early weekday morning, thanks to all those who attended or sent us words of support.
Now its over to the state government and VicRoads. Moore St needs a night and weekend curfew now. We’re not asking for a truck ban, just a good nights sleep.
A very reasonable request.
