22,000 trucks a day on narrow residential streets are a huge safety concern for cars, trucks, cyclists and pedestrians.MTAG are building a dossier of truck incidents in the inner west to show what this impact is. So rarely are these incidents reported in the media and yet they have a huge impact on our safety and residential amenity.

This is not about targeting individual drivers or discrediting the trucking industry. The truck driver is often not the one at fault. This is about highlighting the impact of 22.000 trucks in a residential area on roads totally unsuitable to be major freight routes, a dangerous situation for all who use the roads.
