MTAG’s Martin Wurt will be speaking alongside Professor Tim Flannery at ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’, a panel discussion hosted by Environmental Justice Australia on air pollution in Australia. Martin will talk about the experience of living in a community impacted by Australia’s busiest diesel truck routes and the work being done by MTAG and the community. Professor Flannery will talk about the health impacts of coal, Nicola Rivers, lawyer with Environmental Justice Australia will discuss Australia’s air pollution laws and Ron Ipsen from the Latrobe Valley will talk about the air pollution impacts from the 2014 Hazelwood mine fire. We feel honored to be invited to speak in such esteemed company and we encourage anyone concerned about air pollution in Melbourne’s inner west to attend. The event is free and bookings are essential. Hope to see you there!
Tuesday 24th February 6.30 – 7.30pm Deakin Edge Theatre, Federation Square.
