Submissions to the Government’s Inquiry into Health Impacts of Air Pollution in Victoria have been extended until the 23rd April 2021. Rumour has it that this is due to a low number of submissions. We need to fix this!!
Please email through a submission to show the parliamentary committee how much you are impacted by air pollution in Melbourne’s inner west, and what they need to do about it. If the community is quiet, government will do nothing.
Email your submission to to airpollutioninquiry@parliament.vic.gov.au.
Please include:
- Your full name
- contact details
- the text of your submission or an attachment containing your submission
- a clear indication if you are seeking confidentiality.
The most important things you need to say in your submission are:
- How air pollution affects your life, your health and your children’s health.
- How important it is for Government to accept the recommendations from the Inner West Air Quality Community Reference Group in their report titled Air Pollution in Melbourne’s Inner West: Taking direct action to reduce our community’s exposure. Include the link to this report in your submission – https://www.environment.vic.gov.au/sustainability/inner-west-air-quality-reference-group
Feel free to add your own thoughts on how what Government should do to improve air pollution in Melbourne’s inner west. You can use the Inner West Air Quality report as a guide or take a look at MTAG’s submission.
